GET TO KNOW LAURA

Family is my priority, and I am steadfastly Pro-Life.

With a combined family of six adult children, eighteen grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, we are energized daily to be active in their lives.  I am committed to our community, the future of all children, and conservative values.

I have been a small business owner since 2004.  Creative Promotions at Work, LLC provides promotional/marketing materials to large and small businesses. Listening to client’s marketing strategies and goals leads me to establish viable solutions.

Values

My conservative values guide and inspire me to stand strong every day to protect faith, family, freedom, and 2nd Amendment.

Serving on the Noblesville School Board has given me an opportunity to express these values.  Serving on the Hamilton East Public Library board became a path for protecting children from age-inappropriate content.  The path for collaboration during my recent library board term was a series of listening meetings I established with colleagues, the public, and community leaders.  After reviewing books brought to our attention by the public, in every case, they suggested having age-appropriate content in the teen, middle school, and juvenile sections.  NOT banning or removing books.

Laura’s Focus

Laura plans to work with profound grit and steadfast determination on issues affecting her district.  Additionally, her focus will be on:

  • Health Care Costs with a concentration on mental health issues,
  • Education with a focus on students reaching higher academic achievement,
  • Property tax relief for low- and fixed-income homeowners,
  • Continue to make Indiana an attractive, low-tax state for businesses with access to an ample and capable workforce.

Public Safety

Our law enforcement and first responders work tirelessly to serve our communities. Nationwide there is an ongoing fentanyl crisis that already harms too many families, if elected I’ll be a strong voice on behalf of our County Prosecutor and Sheriff to provide them the resources they need to prevent the trafficking crisis from entering our community.  As your next state representative I’ll always support our Police and Firefighters and I’ll be a strong advocate at the State House to provide them the tools as well as the recognition they deserve for continuing to make House District 29 a safe and secure community.

A Proven Leader.

My leadership style, whether in business or community leadership, is to pursue solutions first by listening.

Listening is a pivotal component of decision-making. When working with colleagues to solve an issue, listening to the public, community leaders, and colleagues is essential.  Nothing is solved in a vacuum or single-handedly.
